The Word Lives!

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
"
John 6:63

I look forward each morning to my personal Bible study and private prayer closet. Disciplined by the Holy Spirit, this has been a part of my daily routine every morning for some ten years or better. Although I cannot possibly consider deviating from this practice, although, sometimes I do get weak in the flesh. However, I am reminded that the Word of God is the nourishment that my hungry soul needs and desires. God made me that way for a purpose. Just as we will sit down to the breakfast and dinner table today and find the nourishment our physical body needs, God designed us to crave after Him and the spiritual food that He provides for us as Christian individuals. I have stated on many occasions that each of us are at different levels of knowledge and spiritual planes and therefore, we each have different spiritual needs. God knows this and it is this fact as to why it is so important for us to give God a little of our time each day; give Him the time necessary to attend to our spiritual needs personally as only can be filled by the Holy Father, Himself. This is the least we can do as good stewards of God’s holy temple, for our body is the temple of God. It is God that feeds the smallest sparrow, and it is God that meets your every need, no matter how small or trivial we believe it to be. God desires for His children not to suffer from malnourishment but to have access to everything the Kingdom of God can offer, equipping us for anything that comes our way. I believe there is nothing worse that to be ill prepared to perform tasks or unable to do so because of spiritual weakness. I need physical and spiritual nourishment everyday to face each day. It would be foolishness on my part if I did not prepare for the day, would it not.

Let us pray:

Holy Father, I praise you for another day. I praise you for the precious Word of God that cleanses me and sanctifies me for your personal use. I thank you for the time and opportunity to come into your presence at the Throne of God with my petitions. I praise you this day for my health and providing all my needs. I pray Father; please make me a blessing to someone to by giving me the opportunity to tell others what Christ has done for me. I pray Father, that you bless my loved ones today and I thank you for answered prayer. Go with me in this day and I praise you for my daily bread, in Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
