Inconvenient to Confess Christ?
"Nevertheless, among the
chief rulers also many believed on him; but because
of the Pharisees they did not confess
him,
lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of
God."
John 12:42, 43
If we ever find ourselves
fearing men, then no doubt, we have a problem to address. We
should never be ashamed of Christ to the point that we would
deny Him, in public or any other place. However, this one
thing is certain; the day will come when we will be tested
to see if we will confess Christ in front of prominent
people. This has happened to me on many occasions. We will
truly believe and profess Christ or do we use Him as a
convenience of religious sort? I fear that many professing
Christian's would deny Christ if the opportune time arose
for fear for their jobs, positions in society, or simply
peer pressure. What a shallow person that would be to know
the truth but yet deny Him. The truth of the matter is that
individual would face being lost in hell for eternity.
Dear Christian, no doubt the
day will soon appear when the Beast of Revelation arrives on
the scene. We will all faced with the opportunity to either
profess Christ or deny Him, simply by the very act of
receiving the mark of the Beast or refusing it and facing
the most severe consequences. We can rest assured that God
will allow this as to separate the wheat from the tares, as
mentioned in the Bible. Your response and action will reveal
your true religious standing. Will you be guilty of living a
lie, playing a ruse, continuing daily with worldly affairs
under a guise of religion? Believe me; God will expose them
when the preverbal heat is turned up during the last days of
the Laodicean Church. For many years now, religious people
have mingled with the Church, but you may rest assured,
those days are numbered. The truth of matters will come into
the light just by the way we will answer those who are in
authority. In those days to come, it will most assuredly
prove who is and who is not a born-again, child of God. The
Church will be purified in those days, and it only then that
we can worship our Lord with one mind, one heart, and one
spirit, in His Holy presence. I long for this day with all
my heart. Until then, we will have those amongst us
unbelievers, unsure of who and what they believe; they shake
in their shoes at the thoughts of confrontation for the
cause of Christ. Let us pray for the people that are
straddling the fence of decision.
Let us pray:
Holy Father; I praise you for
another day and I praise you for every opportunity to tell
others about what you have done for me in my life. I praise
you for saving me, keeping me, and preserving me until the
end as I look forward to eternity with you. Father, I praise
you for my daily bread and providing my every need. Thank
you for your love and your tender mercies each day. I love
you Lord with all my heart and I pray you give me strength
to take a stand for what I believe to be the truth. My Lord
Jesus is the truth and with Him, I am resolved to take my
stand. When the time comes, please help me to stand in the
face of giants as David did. You made David victorious and I
know you can do the very same for me. Help me to be bold in
the hour of my temptation and stand with the breastplate of
faith upon my heart. O Holy Father, go with me into this day
and give my loved ones and me safety, in Jesus name I pray,
Amen.
