I See Jesus!

"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me
shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
John 14:21

People today are always searching for something to fulfill their lives with the happiness, joy, and contentment that are missing. I have heard it said that we were created with emptiness and a void that only God Himself can fill. There are many who have tried to fill this void with complications of another person or loved ones such as children. No doubt, they tried all the pleasures money, fame, and fortune provided but to no avail. People do not understand that it is only the true and living God of Heaven that is their remedy for this loneliness and sometimes, despair that comes upon the weary heart while traveling the journey of life. I did not understand until after I received Christ as my Saviour that God has a very special interest in me. I discovered that Jesus longs for fellowship with every individual on this planet. I am glad that God arranged for someone with a burden for lost souls to cross my path in life and share the Good News of the Gospel with me. When I received Jesus as my Saviour, my search in life was over. Today, I am complete. I have the living Word of God that I can console my heart every time I sit down with the Word. Christ Jesus comes along side and puts His arm around my shoulder, filling me with joy and happiness that is second to none. It is not hard to recognize His presence when you desire His presence. I found that Jesus would not stay very long, where He is not wanted. Christ comes to those souls that are longing for something rock solid and substantial. Christ Jesus is that Rock of Salvation.

What disturbs me most today is seeing people claiming to be Christians while trying to fill their lives with materialistic wealth and social standing. There is something amiss with this venture. I fear that so many that professes Christ is just that, a profession and not a possession. Therefore, the emptiness is still there. They believe that religion will save them. It is a shame that many individuals sit on the church pews today that know not God, yet put on a good show. They may possibly fool the ones around them; however, God is nobody’s fool. I pray that they too can experience the Jesus I have come to know before it is eternally too late. I see Jesus in the written Word. I see Jesus in the lives of so many that calls upon His precious name. I encourage you to call upon His name, whisper His name, and you will see Him too as He lights up your heart with unspeakable joy. Just being in His presence makes my entire day brighter. I know in my heart that I am loved and cherished by the very one that makes me what I am. Now, I have purpose in life.

Let us pray:

Holy Father, I praise you for another day. I praise you for your love and attention to my personal life. I have to admit that there is nothing in this world like knowing that you love me and want to be with me for all eternity. No one loves me in the fashion that you love me. No one else has the ability to save me from my self and establish my ways in this life and the life to come. I praise you for my heath and the health of my loved ones around me today. I pray Father, that you will cleanse me and sanctify me for your personal use. Please make me a blessing to someone today that I may bring honor and glory to your name. Father, please give me a burden for those who are lost and looking for something to fill their soul’s void. Lead me and guide me to others so that I can pass the Gospel of Christ to others. I praise you for every opportunity that comes my way. Go with me in this day and give us safety in Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
